Do you have some experience with basic singing techniques and would like to go further, working on your skills as well as practicing different techniques? Then Vocal Practice Advanced is for you! Get ready for a comprehensive course which offers you a toolbox with vocal exercises that will help strengthen your voice and overcome vocal challenges. You will also get tips on how to do some practical work on solo songs, discover the importance of rhythm in lyrics and melodic lines and become aware of the role of a singer in different musical styles. At the end of this course there will be an open mic where you will perform in front of an audience and make use of the skills you learned.
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW:
This course is a continuation of the Vocal Basics (beginners level) workshop series with Sarah Kertz starting in October 2024 at Rocklab.

More about Sarah Kertz:
Sarah Kertz’s musical journey started early, sparking her love for singing in jazz, pop, and classical genres. Since 2011, she has performed live with various jazz, blues, and pop groups, mastering her musical and vocal skills. In 2016, she became a vocal coach, earning certifications in Estill Voice Levels 1 and 2 and LAX VOX® MASTER TRAINER, with extensive workshop and coaching experience. Performing on stage since sixteen, Sarah has played in many setups, from jazz combos to big bands. Currently, she is the backing vocalist for ‘Ptolemea’ and the lead singer of ‘The X’.
WHEN?
Every Thursday from 16th January 2025 to 13th May 2025, from 19h00 to 21h00 except on school holidays.
PRICE
150€ for ten sessions, the first session is a trial, invoicing starts with the second session.
LANGUAGES: EN, FR, DE, LU. The courses will be held in English, with translation possibilities to French, German and Luxembourgish.
