In April 2016, BABYMETAL became the first Japanese artists to ever headline at the prestigious Wembley Arena in the UK. In June 2019, they performed at one of the world's largest music festivals, Glastonbury Festival, and their appearance at this festival made headlines around the world. That same year in September, BABYMETAL embarked on their METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR. On October 11th, 2019 BABYMETAL had a worldwide release of their 3rd album METAL GALAXY and on that same day, they had their first U.S. headlining arena show at The Forum in Los Angeles, California. METAL GALAXY ranked No. 13 on the US Billboard Top 200 (Albums Chart), largely surpassing their own record of their previous album, and ranked No.1 on the Top Rock Albums Chart for the first time ever as an Asian artist. In the UK Official Charts, the album consecutively ranked in the Official Albums Chart Top 20 from their previous album and ranked No.1 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart for the first time in history as a Japanese artist. in January 2023 they made a comeback at BABYMETAL RETURNS - THE OTHER ONE â where they performed at Makuhari Messe. They released their first concept album called THE OTHER ONE in March 2023. They performed at Pia Arena MM in April at BABYMETAL BEGINS - THE OTHER ONE - and will be supporting Sabaton on their UK & EU Tour in April and May. Following that, BABYMETAL will embark on their world tour starting in Asia and Australia.
