How to approach venues, festivals and promoters and how to book your next gigs
Your release is planned or already behind you and you are looking to bring your music on the road. In this meeting, we will discuss the opportunities that exist to play in and outside of Luxembourg and how to get in touch with bookers, promoters and venues.
Jana Bahrich (Musician – Francis of Delirium)
With just three EPs, Luxembourg-based 21 year-old Jana Bahrich’s Francis of Delirium have quickly caught attention, finding champions in the likes of Pitchfork, Stereogum, The FADER and many more. After spending most of 2022 on the road, Jana is working towards her debut album. Having just finished a headline tour in the UK for the second time, Jana also spent 2 months out to North America to play 26 dates with The Districts plus a headline show in New York and both Shaky Knees and Treefort festivals.
Paul has been working as a booker/promoter in Luxembourg in various venues for the past 13 years and the Rockhal is happy to have him for almost 6 years now. He has also been fairly active in the local music scene, playing in different bands such as Actarus, Treasure chest at the end of the rainbow, La Fa Connected, Mount Stealth and currently Drogher and airship81.
Danny grew up as a musician mainly accompanied by Punk and Rock music, often blending in the occasional hip hop classics. His goal has always been to found a professional booking agency in Luxembourg and to further support the local music scene. After studying Music Industry Management in Bristol (UK) from 2015 to 2018, he returned to Luxembourg to join local hip hop music label De Läbbel and eventually launch the first official booking agency in Luxembourg; Konektis Entertainment.
Sacha Hanlet, known professionally as Falcon is a music producer, singer/songwriter, lighting designer and multi-instrumentalist from Luxembourg. Known for his versatility and creative energy, his paths have led him to tour around the world with his band Mutiny On The Bounty, starting his solo project Them Lights in 2020 and working as music producer, songwriter as well as lighting designer/operator for nearly 2 decades.
Scott Kutting has been active in the Luxembourgish music scene since his early teenage years, first as a passionate spectator, then as a musician on stage with various projects like Fusion Bomb and Blanket Hill. He has always been on the lookout for mitigating approaches, that help Luxembourgish artists to get access to the industry abroad. Recently Scott joined the non-profit organization Attitude Music a.s.b.l. that promotes concerts, exhibitions and other cultural events in the Greater Region.
Lisa Burke is an experienced broadcaster having spent the bulk of her career presenting live television with Sky News, plus BBC, Channel 4, Fox News, many other Sky channels, RTE (Ireland) and RTL (Luxembourg). Her reporting has covered national and international assignments, documentaries and radio. In Luxembourg, Lisa created RTL Today which has now become the biggest English news platform in the country. Now, she hosts and produces a weekly radio show and podcast: The Lisa Burke Show.
